Three teenagers made a major discovery in Math class. Page Greenway ,Bettie Gonsolus and Tyler Wolsey they discovered something in there calculus class. They were in their college dorm when they made the big discovery. At the beginning of the semester the three students wanted to test a theory they had while they where doing there homework.
They decided to call their new theory the theory of backflipping. The students wanted to use their love of skateboarding and their interest in math to make a new skateboard trick.
The three students are excited about their new trick and want to use their math class to help them design new tricks.

ReplyDeleteYou are getting closer to a finished news report but we really need to address the issue of pace.
From what I can see, you spend about 10 to 15 minutes (maximum) each day actually working on what you are suppose to be doing. It is about the same or less time than I spend asking you to return to your seat and start working.
We need to fix this. As part of your daily log, I want you to record how much time you spend working each class and how much time you spend off task. The two numbers need to add up to 75 minutes.
So today Emily spent 15 minutes doing her work and 60 minutes off task. Let's see if we can improve that tomorrow and every day from now on. You're not a little girl any more. We need to get you ready for the adult world which you are entering.

I'd say this news report is about a level 2. Ask me what else you could do to make it a level 3.
