Reading an Informational Text
a) In 2-3 sentences, explain the main idea of the article. Try not to be too specific or too general.
'Pandas going to china by flight FedEx because they are endangered and there going over to be bred with other pandas.
b) What did you learn from this article?
'That if u have endangered spices you must breed them so they don't go extinct.
c) How trustworthy do you feel the source of the information is?
'I think it is because its discovery news a very well known name and because on there website they have what people say like the zookeeper they have time and dates.
d) Explain how the way the information is presented makes you more or less likely to trust it.
'Well yeah because they have pictures of the pandas and also a video.
e) Would you be interested in reading more or less information on this topic? Why or why not?
'Yes because I would like to know how they are doing and the progress of mateing like if the panda is have kids or not .

1) What activity did you work on today?
I woerked on the news report, and we finished it. We just worked on the bloggabler topics. I chose the being late one.

I was able to finish both of them.

Maybe 40 minutes I spent working. I spent the rest of the time goofing off.

Students Make Important Discovery -Rough and good copy^^
Task: Write a news report based on the headline and the picture to the right. You will have to make up the facts and information, answering some or all of the questions......
Who, There are three teenagers Page Greeway, Bettie Gonsolus and Tyler Wolsey.
What, They discovered something in calculus .
Where, There where in their college dorm.
When, At the beginning of semester one in Science class.
Why, They wanted to test a theory they had.
How? They where doing their homework .
You must relate your newspaper report to both the headline and the picture.
Who, There are three teenagers Page Greenway, Bettie Gonsolus and Tyler Wolsey.
What, They discovered something in calculus .
Where, There where in their college dorm.
When, At the beginning of semester one in Math class.
Why, They wanted to test a theory they had.

Three teenagers made a major discovery in Math class. Page Greenway ,Bettie Gonsolus and Tyler Wolsey they discovered something in there calculus class. They were in their college dorm when they made the big discovery. At the beginning of the semester the three students wanted to test a theory they had while they where doing there homework.
They decided to call their new theory the theory of backflipping. The students wanted to use their love of skateboarding and their interest in math to make a new skateboard trick.
The three students are excited about their new trick and want to use their math class to help them design new tricks.
